Rice Serums in Skincare: Benefits, Limits and How to Choose
Rice-derived skincare has moved from a beauty trend to a familiar ingredient category in serums, toners and moisturisers. But does rice automatically make a product effective? The honest answer is: it depends on the ingredient, the formulation and your skin. WHY RICE APPEARS IN SKINCARE Rice bran, rice water, rice ferment and rice extracts can contain compounds such as ferulic acid, gamma-oryzanol, phytic acid and other antioxidants. Laboratory research and small clinical studies suggest that certain well-formulated rice-derived ingredients may support hydration, antioxidant protection and a smoother-looking complexion.
